Stop… ok I’m well aware of the whole Crocs are a no no situation, But (give me a minute) – I’m “told” Crocs are actually very comfy even if they just look plain wrong. So this is where Native Shoes steps in:

The Native Shoes, 2010 Fall collection attempts to make the ‘Croc-esque rubber (EVA) footwear look’ acceptable/cool by adopting the classic ‘Chuck Taylor Low’ style, even though they are laceless and made of EVA.. EVA is an environmentally amphibious material which will mold to the wearers feet while staying antimicrobial and odour free – (hence no need for socks.) Look out for the Spring collection hitting retailers soon.

Coming in a variety of colours – unfortunately just like Crocs.

Supra unveil their exclusive 413 Edition Heartbreaker Skytop’s. The kicks are obviously a Valentine’s Day version of the original Skytop, featuring a blood red canvas upper with brilliant white out soles and red wax coated laces.

Only 1000 pairs are being produced, retailing at £76 ($120) available through Factory 413 and also select 413 Edition dealers globally from Saturday 13th Feb.

Pro-Keds have been busy over the last few months with a number collaborations including the likes of Stussy and Open Ceremony. But the iconic footwear brand has even found time to put together a video to showcase their Spring 2010 collection.

The video takes you on a wild chase around New York City whilst each new release is exchanged through a number of runners – no idea is original.

Japan based Ato Matsumoto have released a new colourway to their Studded Cow Hide range. This time around it’s Brilliant White with silver round/square studs. Both these and the original Black colourway are available now from Rowage for £257.

Stone Island have released it’s small footwear collection to go along side its Shadow Project clothing releases. The two styles, high cut and low cut sneakers both share similar characteristics. The high-tops feature a velcro opening where the low-cuts have a zippered opening. Both styles are made from soft Italian perforated leather uppers with white rubber midsoles. The thing we like about these is the minimal branding coming in the shape of an embossed logo on the tongue and Stone Island on the rear midsole.

Y3 Kazuhiri High Tops, described as High tops but appear more like Mids, perforated leather and a black elastic ankle strap give the shoe an edgy feel, complemented/or spoilt by the ‘Y3′ logo on the heel?

As part of its Spring 2010 releases Converse are continuing with the Kurt Cobain collection releasing two new Chuck Taylor Hi’s & Lo’s.

There are two pairs of  Chuck Taylor All Stars (High Tops & Lows) in black/grey flannel, both with the words ‘Punk rock means freedom’ on the lower side panels (also appearing on the simple yet stylish black hightop pair of chucks). The white low’s come with Kurt’s own drawings with the words ‘reward if found – K Cobain’ which is also a feature on all four. A must for any Cobain/Nirvana fan..

To be released shortly via most Converse retailers.

All Gone 2009 is now not only available in the limited 1000 print edition (If any are left), but  La MJC have also now released the street culture yearly review online, with all 3 previous back issues available too. However the online versions are not the complete books but they do include a detailed look into some of the year’s biggest stories in street wear and urban cultures.
